Electrical and Electronics branch of Engineering in B.Tech was started in the year 2002 with an intake of 60 students and affiliated to JAWAHARLAL NEHRU TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY, Hyderabad and latter to JNTU Kakinada. Subsequently the intake was increased to 120. Electrical and Electronics branch has been accreted by National Board of Accreditation, (NBA), ACICTE, New Delhi in the month of June 2010.
FACULTY STRENGTH:
The faculty of the department are highly qualified and well experienced. The department is equipped with well established laboratories such as,
1. Net works or Electrical circuits
2. Electrical Machines
3. Power Electronics
4. Control Systems
5. Electrical Measurements
6. Electrical Systems and Simulation
STUDENTS:
The students are deputed to Industrial Training in various local industries as a part of curriculum and are actively participating in National workshops, Seminars organized by various Engineering Colleges, IITS, NITS, in Andhra Pradesh and across the country and securing the Ist and IInd prizes. The students are striving hard to obtain university rank and one of the students maintained university rank from First Year to Final year.
Many students are continuing their studies in M.Tech at IITS, NITS, and M.S. in USA and UK. The students of the department formed students Forum “EBULLIENT” and IEEE students chapter.
Students Forum is organizing various activities like National level seminars, workshops, inviting expert from industries, academicians from universities to keep abreast of the advanced Technology.
“Ebullient” students forum is also helping the society by donating Blood in collaboration with Blood Banks located in Visakhapatnam. Collecting clothes from the public and distributing to the needy through orphanage centers.
The students are encouraged to show their creativity in designing and fabrication of projects which are useful to the college and to the Society.
The faculty of the department are training the rural unemployed youth so that they can be self employed.

Department of EEE will strive continuously.
