Dr P. Srinivasa Rao did his M. Tech (Design &Production Engg) from National Institute of Technology (REC) Warangal in the year 1990 and Ph. D from IIT Kharagpur in Mechanical Engineering. His teaching experience at UG & PG level spanned for more than 20 years. He started his career as a lecturer in SVH College of Engineering Machilipatnam and joined as a Senior Lecturer in Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering Visakhapatnam in the year 1997. He became professor in the year 2005 and held several administrative responsibilities at GVP College of Engineering. Before assuming charge as Principal of Chaitanya Engineering College he served in the same capacity in a couple of engineering colleges. Successfully guided about 6 M. Tech projects and 1 Ph.D. He Published 19 research papers including 3 international journal papers. He is actively engaged in Doctoral Thesis guidance and consultancies and has one patent to his credit. Also he was the principal investigator of 2 AICTE funded projects and presented papers at 7 international conferences including those at Canada, and Malaysia. Dr P S Rao also participated in number of training courses and workshops at IITs. He is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers (I). He is an active member of many national and international professional bodies Viz., American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Indian Institute of Welding, ISTE etc.

He has published research papers in 3 International journals, 12 International conferences, 10 National Conferences/Seminars so far on topics mainly 3D solid modeling, CAD/CAE and Reverse Engineering. On these topics he has delivered several guest lectures in prestigious institutes like VIT University Vellore, BIT Mesra, Ranchi, CTTC, Bhubaneswar, GMRIT, Rajam, BIT, Bangalore and HITC, Jabalpur. Recently he presented a paper on “Reverse Engineering” in an international conference held at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia. He reviewed one PhD thesis and one International Hand Book on Engineering and Management.
